Berkeley is no longer the hotbed for leftish politics that it used to be. However, hippies and homeless can still be found in a higher concentration than elsewhere, as well as the smell of weed in the street. Therefore, I wanted to make “Berkeley Bizarre” a returning topic, covering “odd” things that I encounter in the streets. As I will only be three more weeks in Berkeley however, this plan might never really materialize…
Anyhow, consider this “Fishmobile” for instance, that I encountered yesterday while running:
I don’t have the faintest idea of which purpose it should serve, or about the motives of its owner to create such a masterpiece, but anyhow it looked quite cozy inside:
I didn’t want to linger on too long to take more detailed pictures. In the end, that might have looked a bit… fishy.

Do you need a diving license for it?
Zo schoon! Love the fish mobile!
Cool he!
Btw you don't need a driver's licence, just a fishing permit will do...
I'll keep this little cutie in mind next time I feel the urge to re-decorate our motorhome..
Mama was wondering how to post a comment on your blog by the way. Be prepared for a few funny try-outs...
Nopie is taking a sailing-course so he will answer the music-school-question next week.
We leave on a Provence-holiday next saturday.
Is everything all right?
Florence en Celine weten zo direct niet wat zeggen. Maar wel de groeten... [en ze missen u heel erg artuurlijk]
Hey Wim,
I don't understand your problem - please explain. Recently I saw the film 'Into the wild' (liked it very much), at the end they quoted: 'happiness is only real when shared'. So I'm convinced that by this time you and Evi and Stuart little have had a marvellous time. And even if you're wearing a skirt at this time, please Wim, leave it where it is, there's no need to scare Stuart little :-).
Your information about the US is highly appreciated.
Grtz,
Dirk
The happiness was quickly shared indeed: I showed our new digital camera to Evi when she arrived and obviously I forgot that the pictures of Stuart Little's hole were on it... But she didn't make a fuss of it, the house was indeed big enough for the three of us!
Thanks for the feedback!
